Brunch spots seem to be popping up all over the place, so it’s easy to miss a few names. If you know about the Daisy Green Collection, you’ll be familiar with their selection of restaurants dotted around London, including Beany Green, Darcy & May and of course, Scarlett Green.
Nestled on a side street in Soho, the beachy Australian theme is evident immediately by the artistic decor on the exterior of the building. Painted with palm trees in various hues of blue, the relaxed theme continues inside, with roughly painted walls, photos of the beach, neon signs and marble tables, it seems like it wouldn’t work, but it really does.
Food & Drink
The bottomless brunch menu includes one savoury and one sweet dish, with unlimited fizz and mimosas. I ordered the sweetcorn fritters and blueberry pancakes, both of which were deliciously fresh, juicy and beautifully presented.
The portions are also quite large for a brunch, which isn’t a bad thing. The bottomless drinks last for 90 minutes and are plentiful.
Atmosphere
Alongside the amazing decor, they have a live DJ playing some absolute tunes, which adds to the upbeat brunch vibe. There is seating downstairs, however the atmosphere upstairs is a lot more lively, so make sure you specify this when booking.
An additional, yet random note is about the lighting. Odd thing to comment on for a brunch spot review, but even though I was sat in the back of the venue, with little to no natural light, the lighting in the place made me feel like I was outside on a sunny day. A nice touch.
Price
The brunch at Scarlett Green is £42.50 for two quite large dishes and unlimited Prosecco. Throw in the great atmosphere, live DJ and impressive surroundings, and you’ve got yourself a bargain.
Overall
A well-priced, quality brunch, in the heart of Soho where you can seamlessly carry on your night? Sounds perfect. For a fun brunch with friends, book a table at Scarlett Green.
